The green castle, on the right, was created by scanning the image on a wedding invitation I received about 7 years ago. It was an embossed, green out-lined image. I haven't done too much to it, just darkened the lines and added some color. The remaining two castles were black and white images found on the Internet. After coloring and adding some texture to the gray castle, the helmet was added. The red, blue and gray castle's black and white image was very poor. In the end, I had to almost completely redraw the details. This was the first castle I customized and it took me months, as I was working in a small program called "Paint". The size of the file became so big, that I had to make one change and then shut Paint down. Once I became proficient in Photoshop, it was tweaked using filters. An image map has been used for linking to larger pictures of each castle, so just click on the castle to bring it up in a separate window.
